Changan, Ningde and Huawei jointly created the brand’s first car product.
The car was launched in November 2023, and the 2024 model was actually launched in less than half a year, which is a rare operation; At the same time, it also shows that the middle and high-end cars are deeply involved. I don’t know if this price adjustment is related to the listing of the company, but the second section will make a simple comparison.



There are four versions of the 2024 Aouita 12, and three versions of the old one.
Specifically:

- Luxury version, rear drive, 300,800 yuan, 700 kilometers battery life.

The new version mainly adds a rear-drive smart version, which is obviously to lower the starting price of Aouita 12; And at present, there is a limited-time discount showing that 5,000 yuan is deducted from 27,000 yuan, and the actual discount is 22,000 yuan, so the limited-time starting price of Zhixiang Edition is 243,800 yuan.



Configuration comparison
The price difference between the smart version and the luxury version is 35,000 yuan, and there are bound to be some differences in configuration.
Zhixiang Edition is missing:

Objectively, there is a big difference between the smart version and the luxury version. The value of these configurations exceeds 35,000 yuan, especially the value of adjustable elastic components is relatively high. However, the later maintenance cost of this kind of air suspension is also very high, its service life is generally about five years, and the cost of replacing a set of assemblies is ten to twenty thousand yuan, so if there is no requirement for the height of the chassis ground clearance, it is actually more cost-effective to use the Zhixiang version later.
As for the soft and hard adjustable shock absorber, it is actually not big, and the adaptive adjustable shock absorber will be delayed for intense driving, but it is not necessary for gentle driving, so the significance of this shock absorber stunt is greater than the practical significance.

Assuming that the configuration of Aouita 12 Smart Edition can be accepted, then the rest of it is basically a bright spot.
In short, its highlight is the rear drive, and the performance of 6.7 seconds is still relatively strong for a medium-sized and large car that is over five meters; Its body size is 5020*1999*1460 mm, and its wheelbase is 3020 mm. At present, it seems to be the widest car in its class, and the real car looks quite tense.
The second highlight is that the sensor configuration of the intelligent driving system is very high, and it uses three laser radars! It is currently the largest number of cars equipped with laser radars in production vehicles.

Contrastive analysis
After the listing of Xiaomi SU7, the 2024 model of Aouita 12 was launched immediately, which felt more or less like "echoing from a distance", but this was only the author’s personal feeling.
However, the price of the Pro version of Xiaomi SU7 rear-drive advanced intelligent driving is 245,900 yuan, which is very small compared with the Aouita 12 with a limited time of 243,800 yuan. Both cars are medium and large cars; The body size of Xiaomi SU7 has also reached 4997*1963*1455 mm, and the wheelbase is 3000 mm. It also belongs to a wide-body coupe, so it is necessary to compare the two cars.



Look at the key parameters:
- Break 100 in 5.7 seconds
- 830 km battery life
- 1 laser radar
Through these three parameters, we can determine the advantages of Xiaomi SU7, its acceleration performance is stronger, its cruising range is 130 kilometers more, but the lidar is one less. At present, intelligent driving is still at L2 level, and the overall standard is low. It is unpredictable when L3 will be popularized in the C-end market. Therefore, there is no substantial difference between the intelligent driving systems of the two cars at this stage. The disparity in the number of laser radars can only affect the standards for future upgrades, but the difference in system logic can also compensate for the shortage of laser radars. It is not yet possible to say which car has a higher level of intelligent driving.

Finally, let’s take a look at the configuration differences between the two cars. The main difference lies in the computing power of the intelligent driving system. The Drive Orin platform of Xiaomi SU7 is higher than that of Aouita 12, and the overall performance of its car chip is 12 times higher than that of Aouita. Secondly, there are more rear privacy glass, steering auxiliary lights, matrix-type and time-limited leather seats, front seat heating and time-limited headrest speakers, second row seat heating, co-pilot seat memory, time-limited 25 speakers, time-limited fragrance device and car refrigerator.

In terms of basic configuration, Xiaomi SU7 is also dominant. If this version must be at a disadvantage, it is that Xiaomi SU7 rear-drive version is adopted, while Aouita 12 comes standard; Theoretically, the low-temperature performance is better, which is the advantage of Aouita 12. However, Xiaomi Automobile seems to know the shortcomings of this battery, and finally compensated it with a battery life of 830 kilometers, so it is not difficult to judge how to choose.
So now Xiaomi SU7 and Huawei’s eco-car brands are officially facing each other. Who can be "far ahead" in sales will wait until May to see the data.
