" Since March this year, Southwest Jiaotong University’s series of short videos of "Old Dong of Employment Office" have been "on fire" in bilibili. Teacher Dong Pengfei and his colleagues from the School Admissions and Employment Office visited enterprises on the spot and invited human resources leaders to communicate. Starting with short videos that young people are willing to accept, they used humorous language to answer many questions that students encountered in postgraduate entrance examination, employment and internship, and gained a lot of praise and forwarding.

  This is an innovative measure for Southwest Jiaotong University to face the "big exam" of employment. This year, the number of college graduates in China has reached a record high, and the employment pressure of graduates has increased. Southwest Jiaotong University has taken various measures to seize the critical period of graduates’ job hunting and carry out employment guidance in a down-to-earth manner, which has effectively promoted graduates to achieve fuller and higher-quality employment.

   Four-level linkage, in-depth excavation of post resources

  On April 27th, the scene of Southwest Jiaotong University graduates’ employment double election was crowded, and students in formal clothes actively learned about the enterprise and submitted resumes.   Employment is a big deal. In order to promote employment, Southwest Jiaotong University has established a four-level employment linkage mechanism of "secretary, principal and other school leaders+college leaders+counselors+student employment liaison".

  School secretaries, principals and other members of the leadership actively carry out the action of "the secretary and principals visit enterprises to expand their posts", fully mobilize the resources of teaching, scientific research, alumni and other parties, take the initiative to deepen cooperation and exchanges between schools and enterprises with employers, sign strategic cooperation agreements, and establish a long-term mechanism for the docking of supply and demand of talents between schools and enterprises. Since the spring semester this year, members of the school leadership team have taken the lead in going deep into local governments and enterprises to carry out school-enterprise cooperation, exchanges and field visits, and have now carried out docking activities with more than 70 enterprises.

  The leaders of secondary colleges also took active actions, extensively contacted employers and actively recommended graduates. As the "front-line personnel" who directly face graduates’ employment, counselors accurately meet students’ needs, listen to students’ voices, and take the initiative to answer graduates’ job-hunting puzzles and handle employment-related procedures.

  In addition, the school has established four graduate job-seeking information release groups of "engineering", "liberal arts", "science" and "life science", and the student employment liaison officers of each class are responsible for putting the job-seeking information into the class groups.   Accurate docking, solidly improve the efficiency of job hunting
