Ji ‘an organized a video summit to discuss the situation in Afghanistan.

  On August 23rd, local time, leaders of CSTO member states held a video conference to discuss the situation in Afghanistan.

  At the meeting that day, the leaders of the member States of the Ji ‘an Organization believed that the current development of the situation in Afghanistan has threatened the security of the member States of the organization, and the Ji ‘an Organization should coordinate with the UN Security Council and the G-20 as soon as possible to deal with the situation. The foreign ministers and defense chiefs of member States will formulate joint measures to deal with threats in a timely manner.

  After the meeting, the Secretary-General of the Ji ‘an Organization, Zas, told the Russian media that it is necessary for the Ji ‘an Organization to coordinate with other international organizations, mainly with the SCO, on the Afghan issue. Zas stressed that the potential civil war in Afghanistan has unpredictable consequences not only for the country’s security, but also for the security of the entire Central Asian region. At the same time, he accused the United States and NATO of withdrawing troops from Afghan territory unprepared, threatening international peace and stability.

  Ji ‘an Organization was established in May 2002 and evolved from the CIS collective security treaty signed in 1992. At present, there are six member countries: Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan. (General Desk reporter Gu Xin)
