Army： Integrating Old and New Equipment to Improve Firefighting Efficiency

　　　　　　 CCTV News:Recently, a synthetic brigade of the Army’s 73rd Group moved thousands of miles to the Gobi in the northwest, and organized new and old firepower equipment to conduct live-fire shooting drills around training contents such as command and control, rapid response and precision strike capability, so as to comprehensively test the firepower combat effectiveness of the integration of new and old equipment strike methods.

The officers and men quickly maneuvered to the preset position 60 kilometers away by driving the newly distributed firepower equipment. Just after arriving at the position, the fire detachment participating in the drill received the strike instruction, and the command post quickly analyzed and judged the nature of the target returned by the frontier observation, and each fire element completed the shooting preparation at the first time.

　　　　　　 After receiving the shooting instruction, a new anti-tank missile quickly adjusted its shooting angle, and the first missile roared out and hit the target several kilometers away accurately. This type of anti-tank missile is the most advanced anti-tank missile equipment of our army at present. The new equipment can not only strike armored vehicles accurately, but also intercept and damage low-altitude flying targets and fortifications. After the first missile hit the target, a new round of fire attack was launched immediately. The officers and men independently selected the bomb type according to the nature of the target, and all the three missiles launched later hit the target.

　　　　　　 During the drill, the assessment team did not set a plan for the whole process. The guidance and adjustment team took the opportunity to pick up the rockets deployed in another area and transferred the shooting positions, and launched fire suppression on the designated target positions. The rocket launcher used by officers and men is a new type of equipment that has just been installed for less than four months. Compared with the old rocket launcher, the new rocket launcher is more digital, informative and intelligent. The command post only needs to send the shooting data to each artillery terminal, and the gunner can operate the artillery terminal to complete one-button gun adjustment, which saves manpower and greatly improves the shooting speed.

　　　　　　 It is understood that in this exercise, all the newly distributed firepower equipment of this brigade completed the live-fire shooting inspection. In addition, they also assessed the firepower equipment such as howitzers and howitzers. Each fire detachment successively attacked more than ten different targets in four categories at different distances, and launched live-fire shooting drills in a six-hour actual combat environment, effectively testing the operational capabilities such as the integration of new and old equipment, the use of strike means, and the coordination of elements.
