After a brief downturn, Celestial finally ushered in its own highlight moment again. The Smart Factory located in Liangjiang New Area is the main production base of Sailis Automobile, and now it is fully loaded 22 hours a day.
This is due to the popularity of new models. At present, AITO’s new M7 has exceeded 90,000 vehicles, and even the orders for the unlisted M9 have exceeded 30,000 vehicles.
Sailis Automobile is a leading enterprise in the automobile industry in Chongqing and Liangjiang New Area. In 2021, Celestial Auto and Huawei jointly designed a "smart car selection" model, which pioneered the cross-border cooperation between new energy automobile enterprises and ICT technology enterprises, and also opened up a new path for the booming new energy automobile industry in China.

"Come back to life"
From the second half of 2022 to the first half of this year, Sailis suffered a serious decline in sales, and the ensuing market doubts were endless.
In the face of difficulties, Zhang Xinghai chose to face the difficulties-on the one hand, Celestial Automobile and Huawei formed closer cooperation, and formed the "AITO Joint Working Group" in parallel, which is responsible for the end-to-end closed-loop management of marketing, sales, delivery and service. On September 22nd, Celicare’s caring service strategy was officially released, which opened the era of smart service 3.0, and will be dedicated to building a full-link smart service system that runs through CARE-sales, delivery and after-sales.
On the other hand, it is more important. By constantly enriching the product matrix, Zhang Xinghai hopes to rebuild the confidence of the outside world in the increasingly fierce market competition.
On September 12th, AITO asked the new M7 to go on the market, and in the following 64 days, it created a total of 90,000 vehicles in Dading. According to Zhang Xinghai, in December this year, M9 will be listed soon.
In order to ensure the delivery, Sailis Auto Smart Factory is making every effort to accelerate the production capacity increase. The entire supply chain has invested 1 billion yuan and added more than 20,000 people. At present, AITO’s new M7 is being mass-produced, efficiently and steadily, and the delivery has been opened in many cities across the country.
Under a series of measures, the sales of Celestial cars finally ushered in a turning point: in October 2023, AITO Wenjie series delivered 12,700 new cars, including 10,547 new cars delivered by Wenjie M7, and the delivery of a single model exceeded 10,000 in a single month, a record high.
This made everyone breathe a sigh of relief. Yu Chengdong, managing director of Huawei, CEO of BG, and chairman of BU, a smart car solution, even wrote in the middle of the night: "It’s not easy to come back to life!"

Three principles define the development password
In 1986, Zhang Xinghai founded Chongqing Baxian Phoenix Electric Spring Factory, and began to cut into the fields of automobile shock absorbers and other automobile parts. Since then, he has been deeply involved in the automobile industry for 37 years.
"From self-employment to joint venture to cross-border business cooperation, we have always focused on physical manufacturing companies, constantly striving for survival, change and upgrading." Zhang Xinghai said.
In this process, he summed up the "three persistences"-"persistence in innovation-driven, persistence in long-term, persistence in commercial success", and took it as the development principle of Celestial Automobile.
Specifically, "innovation-driven" means to provide users with the ultimate product experience through technological innovation, product innovation and business model innovation, thus promoting enterprise development; "Persisting in long-term" means that we should always focus our business on the physical manufacturing industry, with the blessing of core technology, further promote the boutique strategy and provide users with the ultimate service in the whole life cycle of car use; "Insisting on commercial success" means to let users succeed, serve users wholeheartedly, satisfy users’ yearning for a better automobile life, and actively build an automobile ecosystem with the Internet of Everything, forming a closed-loop business, driving all ecological parties to succeed and sharing development achievements.
The cooperation with Huawei explains these three principles. The intelligent selection mode created by both parties has also brought a brand-new idea to the development of new energy automobile industry in China.
In 2021, Cyrus and Huawei jointly released an intelligent extended range/pure electric platform based on DriveONE. In April of the same year, the two sides signed a cooperation agreement on new energy vehicles. Under the intelligent selection mode, Huawei will deeply participate in product definition, styling design, marketing, user experience and other links, and work with car companies to build a complete vehicle.
In Zhang Xinghai’s view, Sailis Automobile is Huawei’s most stable, reliable and in-depth partner, responsible for the research and development of new cars, intelligent manufacturing, service and creating a pleasant car experience throughout the life cycle; Huawei is an important integrator of software products in the Celeste automobile industry chain. It is empowered by core software and hardware technologies such as electrification and intelligent parts. Both sides complement each other and achieve win-win integration.
This kind of in-depth cooperation has also made Sailis Automobile more confident in facing the competition. At present, with the strong support of national policies, China automobile brands are realizing lane change and overtaking through new energy transformation. However, the global market structure of new energy vehicles is far from certain, some multinational automobile companies have awakened and begun to transform, and the competition in the global new energy vehicle market is becoming more and more fierce.

It is worth mentioning that Celestial has invested more than 20 billion yuan in the field of new energy vehicles, including more than 12 billion yuan in the AITO project. In June this year, the 100,000th car of AITO was officially rolled off the assembly line in Liangjiang New District, becoming the fastest new energy vehicle brand to achieve this achievement.
He said that in the next step, Sailis will continue to strengthen cooperation with important integrators of software-related products in the industrial chain such as Huawei, and continue to deepen the "software-defined car" to help build a powerful automobile country.
